Route: Viktualienmarkt – Holfbrauhaus beer hall – Maximilianstr – Bavarian National Museum – Open river surfing (Isar River) – Englischer Garten – Seehaus – Leopoldstrasse – Siegestor – Residenzstr
We stayed in the Regent Hotel when we were in Munich. It’s in 5mins walking distance from the Munich Hauptbahnhof (main train station). The inside facilities are old enough to bring us back to the 18th century and the breakfast sucks.
After lunch, we explored the area around our hotel by walk. We arrived the Marienplatz where we met up with our friend and also our tour guide, Sascha.
We first headed to the Viktualienmarkt and followed by the Holfbrauhaus beer hall. Then we turned into the Maximilianstr where the luxury boutiques are located. We walked past the Bavarian National Museum. Before going to the Englischer Garten, we stopped by the Isar River and watched the open river surfing there. We walked from one end to the other inside the Englischer Garten till we arrived the Seehaus (Beer garden) where we found a table and had a glass of beer and shared a big big piece of breze until sunset.
We walked toward the Leopoldstrasse where there is the Walking Man and had our dinner.
After dinner, we continued our walk and left the Leopoldstrasse for the Siegestor, followed by the Residenzstr. Our long walk cames to an end only after the short visit to the Residenz.
