In Wellington, we stayed at the Mercure Hotel Wellington which is located on the hill. We caught a taxi to it from the Railway Station.

We first headed to the information centre in Civic Centre for tour information.

We returned our car on our last day in Taupo and hopped on the long distance coach to Wellington. This was a night coach and we had to sleep on the bus.
